- Don’t panic, pull the car to an open area where the surface is plain
- Adjust the jack (a tool to lift the car) under the car frame and keep it perpendicular to the ground
- Turn the jack in a manner that the tyre no longer bears the mass of the car yet it is almost touching the ground
- Replace the old tyre with a new one and make the bolts tight
- Lower the position of the jack to allow the new tyre to touch the ground
- Again, make sure that all bolts are made tight and then, remove the jack
Driving up the steep hills
Too much load on the car is not favorable for either of you. If you are still under the presumption that top gears are the best way to drive swiftly in such areas then read ahead. The right way to achieve swiftness is to change the gear when the car seems to slow down the pace. The correct procedure when going up a steep hill is when you feel the car is losing speed, don’t leave it too long before you change down. Once you follow it, you feel such a little change that you change the gear to even a lower level. This trick can help you drive at the decent speed ranging between 30 to 40 (kilometers per hour).

Include the gear that treats engine as brakes but to a certain and limited extent. It shouldn’t reach a stage where you are not even needing a foot brake to drive down. Make an equal use of foot brake in order to monitor the pace. In fact you should follow the given procedure – keep applying and releasing the brakes after regular intervals. It will allow the brakes to not to get heated up due to exhaustion. While going down, there will come a point when the car seems to run on its own. In this situation, rather than fastening the gear, change to a lower one.
Summers and India can’t be separated. The harsh sunlight can adversely affect both the interior and exterior of your car. Moreover, the very climate doesn’t prompt you to get inside the car and drive.
To ensure its safety, make sure that the functions are going smooth. Don’t forget to take your car to the service centre on a regular basis. Servicing includes a proper check of the car parts as well as the test driving. It will secure a stable functioning for the engines, shock absorbers, tyres, exhaust etc. of your vehicles.
The rags soaked in water and then squeezed could be placed in the centre of the vent. Keep replacing them after regular intervals. Another uncommon but workable fact is to stay bare footed in the car. Some nations do not allow so. Hope your country does.
You can consciously choose to drive when the heat is relatively less. For example, try to drive one hour before the standard office timings. And, you will feel so relaxed while driving. There will be less traffic and ultimately less heat.
So that, long drives are always tension-free.
